Medical Camp

In all understanding, food plays a Centre role in harmony within families and the community. For all medical care, feeding of all kind is considered key for speedy healing.  Without health and food; key aspect of celebration, International Elderly Day will continue to be a dream especially for household faced with lack of food. To spread the celebration, and in fairness, the needy beneficiaries household were given food as to feel the day and attain strength to join the rest of their generation across the globe. Food inclusive of sugar, maize flour and beans was fairly in agreement distributed to 811 beneficiaries with support of EAU and the community team.

This activity was equitably carried in the spirit of St. Daniel Comboni (lover of those in need), whose day of 10th October and was celebrated by EAU team in company of over 800 beneficiaries and their care givers in Queen of Peace Parish Otuke, the Eucharistic celebration was celebrated by Fr. Morris Etyang. The team also distributed clothing to 314 vulnerable PWDs especially children and their care takers. The activity incurred cost of vehicle hire, fuel, packing materials, purchase of food and their transportation and change of hands both in Kampala and the country side.

A total of 833 persons were reached with food support. The project exceeded the target by 533 beneficiaries, 278% of 300 most vulnerable projected, due to overwhelming vulnerability, mobilization and the spirit of fairness where with mutual agreement, food was shared to all mobilized beneficiaries.
