Medical Camp

Healthy body and mind is a base to productivity, it is a background upon which other activities and support rely greatly. Many of our beneficiaries faced greater challenges, with an increased vulnerability due to poor health, upon receiving medical attention, over 70% were able to become productive once again, making our other interventions successful.

To improve on access of support, Equality Approach Uganda in partnership with other care givers, continued to provide quality emergency, first Aids and referral services onsite and during our outreaches in remote parts of Uganda.

With professional team partnership, i.e., trained personnel as well as equipment, Equality Approach Uganda was able to reach out and meet the needs of over 1,000 vulnerable beneficiaries with medical care, and referred 153 for further management.

Our medical support clinics provide:

  • First Aid
  • Treatment of common uncomplicated/non-chronic illnesses
  • Malaria prevention and treatment
  • Medical referrals and follow-ups
  • HIV prevention, and referral support services
  • Other health related capacity building and requirements.

With this support setup, beneficiaries can ensure that no time is lost in giving them access to emergency medical services, in case of work-injuries or other problems. They can easily receive onsite medical service; also saving the cost in time, need for tailored transport and household caregiver that would be required to use a medical facility or for a physician to reach the client requiring medical help.
